Midland Centre     "A View of 2022"...
About 2022...Cont'd...
Hello Midland Centre Members...

Our Midland Centre Membership  increased well during 2021 making us the second biggest Centre out of 12.

Few have been as successful as us so we must be doing something right.

Already we have sketched out our calendar of activities for 2022 and once again we are going for a full programme.

Please regularly check in to our website for all the latest news including updates on our programme. Even if you choose not to participate in anything we do it is satisfying for you to know that you are a member of an active car club enthusiastically supporting one of the world`s great marques.

In the meantime we are all looking forward to seeing you and your MG's during 2022....

And 2023 will be  the Midland Centre`s 90th anniversary and the MG marque`s  centenary. Expect something special.

Roger King
Midlands Centre Chairman
Midland Centre - Welsh Touring Rallye 2022........
'First MG Car Club Event embracing 'Carbon Offset'
"The Midlands Centre will be embracing the recently announced FBHVC 'Carbon Offset ' programme to cover the forthcoming Welsh Touring Rallye for 2022, taking place over the weekend of the 20th-22nd of May. In so doing this is likely to be the first such event of its kind under this new scheme.

Funded by the Centre it covers the Touring route itself with the projected total mileage covered by all entrants of around 9200 miles, with a carbon capture of five tonnes of CO2, leading to twenty trees being planted to offset this amount.

The Midlands Centre believes this is a great way to enjoy our MG hobby while at the same time helping to protect the environment".
The Malcolm Garratt Trophy for Marshal of the Year 2021     "Judy Fry"...
A delightfully surprised Judy Fry received the Midlands Centre Award for Marshal of the Year 2021 at the pre Christmas North Worcestershire Natter Dinner. Centre chairman Roger King announcing the award said that Judy had stepped forward to marshal at our Sprint meetings and the Autumn Trial. In addition she played a formidable part, along with her husband John, in manning the start and finish line at the recent MGCC Social event Autotest at the BMM Gaydon. "As competitors we watched in awe Judy running from the start line to the section finish in order to mark entrant`s card," said Roger, "above and beyond normal marshalling tasks." The forty or so attending the dinner roared their approval while a clearly speechless Judy embraced the trophy with a whispered "I`ve never won anything like this before". She has now.

Are your personal details correct at Kimber House?

An increasing amount of correspondence and general communication in business is being conducted using websites and electronic mail, which does make communication easier, faster and  cheaper for clubs like the MGCC to interact with its members.

However, this can only be successful if members' details at Kimber House are accurate and up-to-date. To ensure that you receive all of the latest information, the Committee recommend all Midland Centre members check their own personal details for accuracy with Kimber House.
Members can now make amendments on the MG Car Club Website.
